The Tallahassee Urban League Housing Program offers a variety of housing related services to meet the needs of the residents in the Tallahassee and Leon County communities. More specifically, the services that TUL provides are directed to meet the client’s individual needs, whether they are seeking to own a new home, currently own a home, or in need of assistance to retain or improve their current housing accommodations.
HOUSING REHABILITATION AND FAÇADE PROGRAM
Housing Rehabilitation and Fascade Program
The Housing Rehabilitation Program serves the needs of low to moderate income homeowners by making repairs to their homes. Income requirements and residency within the city limits are the factors that determine eligibility. HOUSING COUNSELING PROGRAM
Housing Counseling Program
The Tallahassee Urban League Housing Counseling Program is a HUD Certified Counseling Program. This program provides clients with counseling services in the following areas: budget counseling, credit counseling, delinquent/default counseling, landlord/tenant counseling, pre-purchase counseling and other housing related counseling services such as foreclosure and eviction proceedings Intervention and utility retention and restoration assistance.
Clients can apply for these services by calling the Tallahassee Urban League.

HOUSING REHABILITATION AND FAÇADE PROGRAM
First-Time Home Buyers Workshops
First-time homebuyer workshops are offered to clients by the Tallahassee Urban League to educate them on the pros and cons of purchasing and owning a home. Potential homebuyers who successfully complete the course receive a Certificate of Completion which makes them eligible for the Down Payment Assistance Program available through the Tallahassee Lender’s Consortium. First-time homebuyer workshops are scheduled and conducted on the third Tuesday and Thursday of each month, starting at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m. Clients can apply for these services by calling the Tallahassee Urban League.
